Sounds of the City
Even in today's modern world, millions of Americans still live in rural areas such as Southern Illinois,
or North Carolina. If you live in Carbondale, Southern Illinois, you are probably used to spending
an entire day, hearing only the sounds of birds chirping. Maybe you don't even live near a major road.
It's for people like this that I've prepared my latest CD, "Sounds of the City". It has some great tracks
from your favorite cities like LA, Chicago, and New York. Here's a partial listing of what you will find.
- Track 1. Freeway Traffic. This is my favorite track, because it comes to you right from LA,
my hometown. It's the sound of the 405
during rush hour. Getting this track wasn't easy- we parked our car in the breakdown lane where the
405 meets the 10. You can hear the roar of traffic, the "whoosh" as cars go by. A little car honking
action, of course. Did you know that the population of the 405 during rush hour is larger than the population
of Delaware?
- Track 2. Radio Traffic Reports. If you've moved from Los Angeles to NC, you know that one
thing you will miss is the traffic reports. "There's a SIG Alert on the 10 Freeway, a 2 car pileup.
Traffic heavy all the way down the 10 into East LA." You just don't get traffic reports like that
out in the country!
- Track 3. Sounds of the street. This one is from New York.
Of course, you hear the background music of traffic.
Naturally, you may hear a homeless person asking you for money. Can you feel the
guilt as you walk on by? Then there are the random conversations that you pick up as people surround you.
Perhaps they are jabbering into their cellphones.
So, for all you people stuck out in the woods, with nothing to do but watch the grass grow,
order this CD now!
