Rating: 1 alien (and that's generous)

This movie totally sucked. Or maybe it sucked 85%. I liked the scene where Captain Picard rides his little dune-buggy on the planet, so that accounts for the 15%.
The plot was completely formula. There is the very bad guy who wants to destroy the universe. Fortunately, Captain Picard and his excellent colleagues are able to thwart them! The last 45 minutes of the movie show a dramatic space battle which ends with the near-destruction of the Enterprise. Zzzz. I guess they probably spent a lot of money on this movie, but there are plenty of episodes of "Star Trek: Next Generation" that are really much better than this movie.
The exciting part of this movie is that the bad guy is a clone of Captain Picard. "Why would anyone want to clone him?" my brother mused. "I didn't know he was that great." Anyways, this guy is only about 25, yet he has even less hair than Captain Picard. Besides having no hair, he really bears little resemblance to Captain Picard, though.
They had a really good discussion of Nemesis, on Slashdot. Also, remember Wesley Crusher? The actor that plays him is Wil Wheaton, and he has his website here. He's a pretty cool guy, apparently. I must confess that I disliked his character on the show, but now I would like to offer an apology to Wil for all the times I disparaged him. For Nemesis, he says they filmed a few scenes with him, but then cut the scenes. Too bad, maybe that would have saved the movie!
