Rating: 1 Mini Cooper

This movie goes well with a bag of popcorn. If you would like an entertaining diversion, by all means you should see it! But if you are looking for a movie with any depth, any insight, this is not the movie for you. It's like watching an episode of "Friends" or "Frasier"- it may make you smile, but you will most likely forget it a few minutes after you have seen it.
It falls in the "heist" genre of movies. A group of clever criminals are plotting to steal a whole lot of money. Mark Wahlberg is the star criminal of the group. He has a very low-key acting style, that contributes to the hollowness of this movie. Charlize Theron also plays another criminal. She is quite watchable, although this role just doesn't have enough for her. Ed Norton plays a generic bad guy.
The real star of this movie is the Mini Cooper. It's a cute little car that actually is a real racing machine. If BMW wanted to make a commericial for their car, then this would be it. I guess modern movies are all about product placement.
Also there are some well-thought out special effects and car chases. It's enough to make the movie watchable. My grandfather did stay awake during the entire movie.
